We took Cornell Notes for the first time in class today on Chapter 1, lesson 1. We covered page 8 thru 12 in the textbook and began to touch on Landforms and how humans depend on their Geography for HOW they live their life.
Don't forget to do the homework (Geography Bootcamp worksheet). If you press the button below it'll take you directly to the Edmodo page where the videos are at and I reposted the worksheet below if anyone lost it :)

WEDNESDAYToday, we introduced the differences between maps and globes and then reviewed our knowledge of maps/globes on a worksheet. Students then began to work on the homework: Chapter 1, lesson 2 worksheet. Make sure you complete the Venn Diagram and do all 3 questions :)

THURS/FRIDAYIn class, we reviewed the World Geography worksheet that was completed in class on Wednesday. Our students should be pros on Latitude & Longitude and general World Geography vocabulary and concepts.
Then, we did a great Discussion Activity where students formulated questions about a picture of the Lascaux Cave paintings. We dove deeper into those questions like "why did they paint them" and "what materials did they use to paint" etc. on our hypothetical fact finding beginnings. Then we used our devices to research the internet what the world actually knows about these mysterious Paleolithic primary sources!!!
