HOMEWORK: finish the Invention of Writing activity
thursday/friday, OCTOBER 25 and 26
Today, we began with a review of Sumer and becoming a civilization and how written language will develop now. We used an excerpt from the book "World History" to understand the chain of events that helped create the world's first system of writing.
Students wrote information and drew pictures inspired from the "Invention of Writing" page. I encouraged students to paraphrase and draw pictures that illustrate this sequence of events.
