TUESDAY, 11/10/15

Students sat in groups today and worked together on 5 different stations about Chapter 4, lesson 1.

There was a BIOGRAPHY station about King Sargon I of Akkad and Hammurabi of the Babylonian Empire, a LAWS station about what Laws are good/bad for, a LEGACY station about how Laws have fared over time and our connection to Hammurabi's code of Law, a HAMMURABI Webquest station, and DAY OF MISFORTUNE station about settling conflict in Mesopotamia.  This was a 4 page worksheet and students rotated to each station completing the information thru various exercises, reading, discussing.  I have enclosed it here.

THURS/FRIDAY
11/12 & 11/13

Students first spent 20 minutes writing an essay about their thoughts on Hammurabi's law code and turned it in on Edmodo.

Then, they created a Google Slide using the information from Wednesday's activity on Chapter 4, lesson 1.  They created one to two slides on each station from that activity and skipped the station titled Day of Misfortune.

So, the stations they illustrated in the Google Slide were:

BIOGRAPHY
LAWS
LEGACY
HAMMURABI

We'll finish this for homework on Monday.
