Today, we began our Egypt Rap Project.

Each group of students will focus on one area of study.  We divided groups intol the following areas:
  1. Geography and Society
  2. Old Kingdom, Pyramids and Middle Kingdom
  3. Religion
  4. New Kingdom and New Kingdom pharaohs
  5. Technology:  Papyrus, Hieroglyphs, Medicine, Math, Science, etc.

Then, each group will write a 12 to 16 or more line poem as a rap song.  EACH line must contain valuable information to our studies and must make sense and must rhyme!

Here's the process from start to finish:
  1. Write the poem
  2. Record poem on Garageband
  3. Create a group Google Slide including pictures and text from your rap
  4. Video your group on the Green Screen lip synching and acting out your rap
HOMEWORK:  study for the test on Chapter 5 Egypt on Thurs/Fri and write 2 to 4 lines of poem for your group's project
