Today, we worked in the same groups and finished slides 17 thru 20 of the Google Slides on China.  We also finished slides 23 thru 29.  Then we added the following slides:
  • 1 extra slide about the Silk Road (for a total of 2 slides on Silk Road)
  • add 2 slides about the Great Wall (after Silk Road)
  • Do a timeline with the following dates and corresponding information:
    • 2000 B.C.
    • 1766 B.C.
    • 1027 B.C.
    • 551 B.C. ______________ was born
    • 403 B.C.
    • 221 B.C.
    • 202 B.C. to 220 A.D.

Do your best to get all of this done for homework tonight, but don't spend more than 30 minutes.

Tuesday, february 13

We finished our Google Slide projects on China today.  Any work that isn't done yet needs to be done at home.  Please make sure and add a Terra Cotta warrior page after your Great Wall pages. 

Homework is to begin work on your Chapter 8 Review Worksheet...here's a copy just in case.

Wednesday, february 14

We will go to several stations today...please watch for the following directions:


#1 SILK ROAD STATION
Read the handout and find answers to the questions on your worksheet.  Then place the magnets on the whiteboard locating the place they came from.

#2 GREAT WALL STATION
Please watch this video and then answer the questions on your worksheet.  Discuss with your group!

#3 Shi Huang Di STATION
Please use the handout to take notes on the pros and cons about this first emperor of China.

Then, answer the question, "was he a HERO or a VILLAIN"? and discuss it with your group.

#4 PHILOSOPHY QUOTES STATION
Read the quotes ONE AT A TIME starting with #1.  Discuss with your group and decide which philosophy it was from and why?????

#5 HAN DYNASTY INVENTIONS STATION
Please NUMBER each member of your group 1 thru 7 and read the corresponding section of the handout and list the inventions it talks about.  Then copy the inventions that your group members found to fill out the chart on your worksheet.
