Let's use the 2nd map video from yesterday to draw a map of Ancient Greece.  I'm posting a blank map of Greece here if you'd like to print or label it in Google Drawings or another program, but you can draw a map on your own here and it'll probably still be better than hers :)

Please label the following and feel free to color if you want:
  1. Greece
  2. Crete
  3. The Peloponnesus
  4. Sparta and Athens
  5. Mediterranean Sea, Ionian Sea & Aegean Sea
  6. Turkey or Asia Minor
  7. Mt. Olympus and Attica
  8. Thera (Google It)

Friday 3/20

IMPORTANT:  great job getting started here guys!  Just remember that you should keep everything in the Social Studies folder and you don't have to email or turn in the completed assignment until I ask for it :)
  1. Please begin today by watching the following video:  www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVjMtJG1v_w
  2. Then, please read pages 228 to 229
  3. Then, answer these 2 questions in detail (3 sentences each or more) on a Google Doc or sheet of paper
    1. Who was King Minos, describe him and how was important to the Minoan Civilization?  (feel free to google too, it's interesting!)
    2. How do you believe the Minoan Civilization collapsed -- by natural distasters or invasions?  Choose the one you think led to their downfall and support with evidence in 3 sentences or more!
  4. To answer, feel free to also use the pages I post to the right here :)  Have a great day guys!
