Today, we covered the basics in Mr. Nelson's Social Studies class.  Tomorrow I will send home a copy of class rules and important information and have parents sign those to bring back on Thursday and Friday.

Today, we learned about Mr. Nelson and some more class policies, handed out the Class Rules to be completed by Friday and filled out a Student Interest Inventory to find out about my students.

HOMEWORK:  have mom or dad sign the class rules and turn in on FRIDAY

1. write our name on playing cards so Mr. Nelson can call on people democratically
2. Sign on to our Edmodo account
3. Finish the Student Interest Inventory
   
4. Turn in our Student Interest Inventory

Today we began the basics of world geography by reviewing CONTINENTS, LANDFORMS, LATITUDE/LONGITUDE, etc. with a worksheet and reading our textbook beginning on page 9.  We worked through the first 2 lessons of the book, Chapter 1, lessons 1 and 2.

Students won't finish this but on Monday, we'll complete this activity.
