Today, we focus on Chapter 1, lesson 3 where we investigate HOW we know about history. It emphasizes the role of historians, archaeologists, anthropologists and the general process that we use to analyze the evidence (artifacts & fossils). Even more importantly, how did these scientists put these clues together to figure out the ways in which people lived back then.
We completed a very simple worksheet (answers in the textbook pages 27 - 33. Tonight's homework is the back side of this worksheet. Follow the instructions to create a Stone Age Timeline (hint: all the info you need is on page 32). |
TUESDAY 9/22Tuesday, I introduced several reasons WHY WE STUDY HISTORY (see page 39) and why it is so important that we learn from the past to make our future much better. Think about the Romans who lost the recipe to Concrete for 1,000 years!!!!!!! From great concrete builders to "back to the drawing board"!!!!!
Students began the homework in class (Why Study History worksheet) that reviews the entire chapter in advance of the QUIZ TOMORROW!!!! ![]()
