TUESDAY, 9/29/15In studying the Neolothic Age, today we took Cornell Notes on Chapter 2, lesson 1. We learned about how Hunter Gatherers' lives changed drastically when the Earth warmed up in 10,000 B.C.
The end of this Ice Age melted the snow and ice and allowed the world to become more green and full of life. Growing seasons expanded and the cold winters became shorter. People began to DOMESTICATE plants and animals!!! This beginning of agriculture helped people to stop leading a nomadic lifestyle and they instead settled down and small settlements grew into villages. This change from GATHERING plants to RAISING plants and animals is called.... THE AGRICULTURAL REVOLUTION. Tonight's homework is on Edmodo. Follow the instructions and you can complete either digitally or on paper :) |
WEDNESDAY, 9/30/15Today, we used the iPads to take Cornell Notes on Chapter 2, lesson 3 about the first towns....villages grew surpluses and grew in population and then jobs became specialized.
We downloaded the worksheet off of Edmodo and opened it in Notability and we learned how to use that note taking App. We didn't finish the notes so we'll finish those first thing on Thurs/Fri. |
THURSDAY 10/1 & 10/2We are doing an activity that reviews all of Chapter 2 about people settling into villages during the Agricultural Revolution. Follow the link below to see all the videos that will help you work through the activity...
...and here's the worksheet that our activity was based on.
If you finish EVERYTHING, you can watch this video too :) It's about the Horse People.
