Monday, 3/27/17This week we are beginning our project for Chapter 11. We are creating an informative, creative, and colorful BOOK about Ancient Greece. Each page will contain at least 5 major facts and drawings/pictures that support the information.
Some pages may answer or focus around a central question and the whole book will give us a great and interesting look at the Ancient Greeks we are studying. Today's page is GEOGRAPHY. Students will finish the page for homework and I will make time for finishing and fine tuning these pages over the next couple weeks too. (in case some pages need extra work) tuesday, 3/28/17Today we worked on the next page of the book. This will be two sided and contains The Minoan Civilization on the front and The Mycenaean Civilization on the back.
We will read about these first civilizations of Ancient Greece in the books that I have in the classroom. The Greeks by Usborne Books. They will really be helpful and I'll post some of the pages to help right here! These two pages can include pictures and text that students print out at home! Here are the pages from the GREEKS BOOK BELOW. wednesday, 3/29/17We are finishing our Minoans and Mycenaeans page in the Greece Book we are creating. The entire class was used to work on these pages. Homework is to finish any loose ends on both the Geography & Minoans/Mycenaeans page. Then, watch these videos and do this worksheet if you have extra time!
Thurs/Fri 3/30 & 3/31Begin by reading Pages 14 and 15 in the Greeks Books. Then, we'll work in groups answering the questions about the Iliad by Homer using the Greeks Book and our textbook and then we'll complete the worksheet below by using this website:
