Monday, 3/6/17Today, we watched the video Exodus Decoded offering an interesting look at the biblical event of the Exodus. They examine the archaeology available to see if it can be explained scientifically as well as religiously as it is written in the Hebrew Torah. Very interesting and thought provoking for our students especially as they get to see the process of a famous archaeologist examining various different evidence and theories. The video is produced by James Cameron of Titanic and Avatar fame!
Homework is just to finish the work we did from the website on Thursday/Friday from last week. Make sure to finish the Google Form! tuesday, 3/7/17Today, we finished the video on Exodus Decoded. Please just finish your video notes both sides
wednesday, 3/8/17Students began by answering a question on Edmodo. Then, they worked in collaborative groups taking notes on Chapter 10, lesson 2. The worksheet that they completed for this is posted below.
Thurs/Fri 3/9 & 3/10We began with group discussions to CHOOSE the TOP 5 things we learned from Chapter 10, lesson 2.
Most of my groups selected their top 2 as Israel splitting into 2 kingdoms because of high taxes and hard labor & the Babylonian Captivity where the Hebrews stayed faithful to their religion and God thru prophets, believing in the Messiah, continuing their traditions and holidays. Then, we completed a worksheet taking notes on Chapter 10, lesson 3. After the worksheet was finished, we watched a video posted on Edmodo that reviews our chapter about the Hebrews.
