Monday, october 23

Students worked on the SPRITE GAL google slide that we began last week.  They should complete the entire project by today.  They followed my initial template and then added an extra page for each letter (S for Society, etc.) and talk about the United States.  So each section of SPRITE GAL will have a page about SUMER and a page about UNITED STATES.

tuesday, october 24

We did a station rotation activity where students worked in groups to read, discuss, and investigate our first Mesopotamian Empires and specifically Hammurabi's Code of Laws and how they helped him rule the Babylonian Empire.  Anything not completed is finished as homework.

WEdnesday, october 25

Today, we did a presentation about No Place for Hate as a part of our United in Kindness efforts.  I'll post that presentation later.

Then, we took a benchmark test to see how we are doing so far this six weeks.  This is done on ILLUMINATE and the essay question can be done here:  goo.gl/forms/ljHeJEbiSBvvIvhg2

thursday/Friday, 10/26 & 10/27

Please complete the Mesopotamian Empires worksheet by using the reading that I handed out in class.  We are studying the Akkadian, Babylonian, Assyrian, and New Babylonian Empires that rose and fell in the area of Mesopotamia.  We'll study their governments, geography of the empire, major leaders and what led to their expansion and decline.

After you finish the Akkadian and Babylonian empires, watch this video about EMPIRES:
