Mystery of the Nile!
Today we're starting a book on Egypt. Students are using an APP called Book Creator on the iPads in my class. We'll work on the book each day this week. I recommended maybe a couple slides on each lesson in the book. So, today, we focused on Chapter 5, lesson 1 -- the Geography of Egypt.
While we worked on the book, we watched the iMax movie, Mystery of the Nile which explores the Nile River from source to sea and is produced by our own locals the MacGillivray family!!!!

Tuesday, 12/15/15
Students watched a video comparing Egypt and Mesopotamia and used a worksheet in class to answer questions about what was learned. Once they finished the worksheet, they continued working on their Book Creator project about Egypt.

wednesday, 12/16/15
We took the quiz on Chapter 5, lessons 1, 2, 3 today on Edmodo and then continued work on the Book Creator project. The homework tonight will be a worksheet on Chapter 5, lesson 4 which covers 4 New Kingdom Pharoahs.

Thursday/Friday, 12/17 & 12/18
Today, I offered students a choice as we continue our Egypt projects. They could either continue the Book Creator project creating 2 or 3 pages about each of our lessons in Chapter 5, or they could do a Rap Song about Egypt. To complete the song, it is a group project where each students creates 8 to 10 lines of poetry on a particular Lesson in Egypt (lesson 1, 2, 3, or 4). It would take the place of the Book Creator project and be put together so each group would have a complete Rap Song to record on Garageband and do a Rap Video if time permits!!!!
